What I expect of you:
I expect a serious commitment from you in our work together. Starting the process of counseling with a therapist can elicit many feelings. I understand that digging through past relationships, as well as your own family dynamics, can be emotionally challenging and uncomfortable. I expect you to be willing and open to learning, growing, and receiving feedback that will relate directly to your role in your relationships, addiction, mental health. I expect you to try not to be defensive, to communicate when you are, and to commit to altering the behaviors that are getting in the way of your growth. When these conditions are met, we have an excellent chance of healing.
